The Story Behind CayoCasa
Like most good things, CayoCasa didn't start with a business plan. It started with a love for great places, great experiences, and the idea that a home can feel like something more than just a place to stay.
For years we've been involved in hospitality, real estate, property operations, and renovations. Along the way we saw both sides of the short-term rental world — the incredible opportunities it can create for homeowners, and the overwhelming reality of actually running one well.
Behind every beautiful listing is a lot of work: guest communication at all hours, coordinating cleaners, handling maintenance, managing pricing, furnishing homes, solving problems, and making sure the experience for every guest is seamless. When it's done right, it's an incredible business and an amazing way to share a home with travelers. When it's done poorly, it quickly becomes stressful and frustrating for homeowners.
That gap is really where CayoCasa was born.
We saw an opportunity to build a company that did things differently — one that focused on real hospitality, operational excellence, and transparency with homeowners. Not a "set it and forget it" management company, and not a corporate operation that treats every home the same.
CayoCasa was built to be hands-on, thoughtful, and aligned with the homeowners we work with.
The name itself reflects what we believe in. "Cayo" comes from the Spanish word for small island or cay — places known for beauty, escape, and a slower pace. "Casa" means home. Together, CayoCasa represents the idea of a place that feels both special and personal — not just another vacation rental, but a home that guests remember long after they leave.

Justin brings over 25 years of experience in the corporate housing sector, where he co-founded a multi-million dollar company from the ground up that managed 100+ furnished corporate units. Currently, as the owner of a successful luxury home renovations company, he also offers a deep understanding of construction and design.
