For years we've been involved in hospitality, real estate, property operations, and renovations. Along the way we saw both sides of the short-term rental world — the incredible opportunities it can create for homeowners, and the overwhelming reality of actually running one well.
Behind every beautiful listing is a lot of work: guest communication at all hours, coordinating cleaners, handling maintenance, managing pricing, furnishing homes, solving problems, and making sure the experience for every guest is seamless. When it's done right, it's an incredible business and an amazing way to share a home with travelers. When it's done poorly, it quickly becomes stressful and frustrating for homeowners.

The name itself reflects what we believe in. "Cayo" comes from the Spanish word for small island or cay — places known for beauty, escape, and a slower pace. "Casa" means home. Justin brings over 25 years of experience in the corporate housing sector, where he co-founded a multi-million dollar company from the ground up that managed 100+ furnished corporate units. Currently, as the owner of a successful luxury home renovations company, he also offers a deep understanding of construction and design.
Vernessa's 26+ year career in the multifamily industry includes leadership roles as Regional Manager, Assistant Vice President, and Director of Operations. She has overseen large portfolios, and developed teams and processes that drive both profitability and elevated resident experiences.
